Are you going to visit Chania, or will it be your hometown for a while? If you like to eat vegetarian you might be worried that you can’t find a lot of restaurants to go to. Don’t worry! Chania has a few vegetarian restaurants and many vegetarian-friendly places to eat. I have tried them all since I moved here. Because what better thing to do is there in Crete than eat? 😉 This is a list of my top picks, each offering something unique and delicious.

Pinaleon quickly became one of my favorite spots in Chania. This charming restaurant serves up some fantastic vegetarian dishes. The highlight for me is their aubergine dish – tender and bursting with flavor. Their broccoli with a creative sauce and of course the mushroom and trufle risotto are amazing too! Pinaleon is besides a road, but inside it is very cosy and the staff is friendly and polite. Fun fact: Pinaleon is known for using locally sourced ingredients to ensure the freshest flavors.
